Meet David Jeanclos, the Division of Aviation’s Airport Communications Center Operator II. He recently received the "Unsung Heroes” award in Philadelphia International Airport’s (PHL) Employee Recognition Program. This award honors employees who work behind the scenes and typically go unrecognized for their work. Although they do not work directly with guests, their effectiveness significantly impacts the airport and the guest experience.

American Airlines Flight Attendant Jeanette Breznick-Broder recently received the “Caring Support” award in PHL’s Airport Employee Recognition Program. This award recognizes employees who provide exceptional care and services to seniors, families with young children, disabled passengers, and others with special needs.    

Pure Leaf Iced Tea has partnered with Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) to create the first-ever Pure Leaf Holiday Oasis Lounge. With this custom-built lounge, holiday travelers will be reminded that saying “No is Beautiful” and, specifically, saying “no” to the stress of holiday travel will allow them to say “yes” to the magic of the season. The lounge will transport travelers during the busiest moments of the upcoming holidays to a tranquil and relaxing space that they deserve with chic, upscale seating and Pure Leaf-inspired décor and surroundings.

Japneet, a sophomore at Upper Darby High School in Delaware County, Pa., is one of more than 80 volunteers of the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) Volunteer Navigators Program who assist passengers as they travel through the airport. She’s excited to delve into aviation and hopes to become a pilot (just like fellow volunteer Alissa).

Prospect Airport Services Wheelchair Assistance Provider Fumilayo Bailey recently received the “Caring Support” award from PHL’s Airport Employee Recognition Program. This award recognizes employees who provide exceptional care and services to seniors, families with young children, disabled passengers, and others with special needs.   

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) announced that it will be welcoming a Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club. The announcement was made by PHL, in collaboration with MarketPlace PHL, Chase, and Airport Dimensions. The 20,000-square foot lounge will be located in the airport’s Terminal D/E connector, providing passengers with a destination to relax and work. The lounge will also feature locally inspired elements and a specially curated menu.

The City of Philadelphia’s Division of Aviation received the 2022 "Airports Going Green" (AGG) Outstanding Sustainability Infrastructure Development Award for Philadelphia International Airport's (PHL) Remain Overnight (RON) apron project.
