City of Philadelphia Department of Aviation Announces Chevelle E. Harrison as Director of Workforce Development

The City of Philadelphia Department of Aviation, operator of Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and Northeast Philadelphia Airport (PNE) has announced Chevelle E. Harrison as Director of Workforce Development. In this role, Harrison is responsible for leading the airports’ Bridge Program, a workforce development initiative that creates internal/external pipelines and career mapping pathways for employees and job seekers.

Winter is finally over—time to plan outdoor activities. New service taking flight at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) in April gives guests the opportunity to visit somewhere new.

American Airlines will offer daily nonstop service to Charlottesville, Va. (CHO), beginning April 4, and six-times-a-week nonstop service to Daytona Beach, Fl. (DAB), starting April 5.  Spirit will add daily nonstop service to Charleston, SC (CHA), to its PHL roster on April 5.

Fifty-three percent of the City of Philadelphia Department of Aviation’s senior team is female. This Women’s History Month, Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and Northeast Philadelphia Airport (PNE) celebrate the women who contribute to the airports' success every day. Here, we recognize three powerful women at the airports, Keesha Lane, Camille Tomlin and Chevelle Harrison, who shared their thoughts on the significance of Women’s History Month.

City of Philadelphia Department of Aviation Receives Almost $2 Million from Commonwealth Financing Agency for Northeast Philadelphia Airport

The City of Philadelphia Department of Aviation received almost $2 million in funding from Pennsylvania’s Commonwealth Financing Agency (CFA) to support two projects at Northeast Philadelphia Airport (PNE). The Department received $1 million to rehabilitate PNE’s administration building and $945,000 for security perimeter enhancements.
