Christopher Dougherty is the Vice President of Operations and Security at PHL. He directs all facets of airside, terminal, and landside operations, plus security via a multi-level subordinate team consisting of Airport Operations Officers, Supervisors, Superintendents, and Managers. Mr. Dougherty manages all functions related to airport snow removal and ice control operations in order to maintain business continuity. One of his main duties is to ensure PHL is compliant with all federal and state regulations. He also helps plan and coordinates the Airport's triannual Emergency Preparedness Exercise (EPEX).
Mr. Dougherty began his career at PHL as an Information Receptionist in 1994. Throughout his 28-year tenure, he has held the position of Airport Operations Trainee, Airport Operations Officer, Airport Operations Superintendent, and Airport Operations Manager. Mr. Dougherty holds a BS in Aviation Management and MBA from Widener University. He is an accredited member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and holds a professional training certificate by the Airport Ground Transportation Association (AGTA).
