TSA and PHL Announce Security Checkpoint Adjustments

PHILADELPHIA- The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), in collaboration Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), will temporarily close the Terminal A-West and Terminal F security checkpoints beginning Wednesday, November 5. The temporary closure of these checkpoints will provide optimal operations at the Terminals A-East, B, C and D/E checkpoints.

The temporary closures are also taking place in conjunction with PHL’s airline partners. Airport staff will be on hand to direct passengers to open checkpoints.

Coming to PHL: Alaska Airlines Daily Seasonal Service to PDX

PHILADELPHIA- Travelers at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) heading to the Pacific Northwest will have another option next year: Alaska Airlines will launch daily service to Portland, Oregon, beginning May 13. The seasonal service to Portland International Airport (PDX), slated for May 13-October 2, 2026, will be Alaska’s third flight at PHL. The airline currently offers year-round flights to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), including twice a day seasonally.
