On March 9, Frontier Airlines announced the expansion of its non-stop flights from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) beginning in May 2022 The cities included in the expansion are Boston, Cincinnati and Kansas City, MO (all restored), and Chicago-Midway, Cleveland, and San Antonio (new). The additional routes will bring Frontier’s total number of non-stop destinations from PHL to 32 cities.
Frontier Airlines is the second largest passenger airline operating out of PHL. Josh Flyr, Frontier’s Vice President of Network and Operational Design, joined PHL CEO Chellie Cameron to unveil the new service. "We are excited to announce this expansion of service at Philadelphia International Airport," Flyr said. "This announcement reflects our very strong commitment to serving the Philadelphia community with Frontier’s ultra-low fares and friendly service.”
Cameron added, “This is much more than giving flyers another option for travel. This move will help bring more visitors to Philadelphia and to stimulate our local economy. This a is a win-win all around.”
