Frontier Airlines passengers taking the November 2 inaugural flight from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) to Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) in Nassau, Bahamas, were treated to an island celebration and Bahamas swag prior to boarding. Joining in the festivities at PHL were Frontier Senior Director Michael Pewther and Bahamas Ministry of Tourism Executive Director Dr. Kenneth Romer.
“This is the time of year when many people think about escaping the cold weather in Philadelphia by heading to the Caribbean,” said PHL CEO Chellie Cameron. “Frontier’s nonstop service to Nassau is a great option.”
In addition to transporting passengers to a winter escape, Frontier’s Nassau route will also connect those traveling to see loved ones and friends throughout the Bahamas.
“In some instances, this is the first time in years passengers have been able to visit their friends and relatives,” said Cameron. “As we head into the holiday season, this is especially important.”
Frontier's nonstop service between PHL and NAS will operate three times per week. Frontier now offers nonstop service from PHL to 26 destinations in the U.S. and the Caribbean.
