Alida Fish, of Wilmington, Delaware, is known for her digitally manipulated photography where animate and inanimate realities converge. To create this series "Altered Identities," she photographed three-dimensional portrait masks cast from life. The black and white images were then scanned and digitally altered with the subtle addition of human details like eyelashes and wrinkles. These beautiful, yet haunting portraits look like clay sculptures coming to life.
