Terminal E, Ticketed Passengers

In effort to strike a comfortable visual tension between architecture and artwork the artists selected the roof line of the Satellite Thermal Plant for the location of A Shift of  the facts from the known  to the Intimate. Colorful shapes of machinery and wheels are repeated as the artwork forms a decorative band along the roof line. While the imagery is reflective of industrial tools, it is not meant to be literally interpretive, but instead celebrate the function of the building. The artwork can be easily seen from the inside of the airport from the windows of Bridge E.
