Art & Exhibitions Philadelphia's Baseball Legends: The Championship Teams Terminal A-East Baseball has been called America's national past time and Philadelphia's favorite sport. As the Phillies are the reigning 2008 World Series Champions, Philadelphia continues to celebrate its victorious team and hopes for future success. Today, the Phillies are the City's only professional baseball team, but in the early part of the 20th Century, Philadelphia was home to several teams - many of them champions in their respective leagues. This exhibition gives homage to Philadelphia's rich baseball heritage and the legendary teams and players that have contributed both past and present-the Phillies, Philadelphia Athletics, and Negro League teams including Philadelphia Giants, Hilldale Daisies, and Philadelphia Stars.
